Laura Warren

Children’s Speech and Language Therapist

Specialising in Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT)

Ever since I discovered the positive impact speech and language therapy can have on children with communication differences, I have been passionate about empowering families to support their children in connecting with others in ways that feel right for them.

After a career break to raise my own family, I decided to pursue my dream of studying speech and language therapy at Manchester Metropolitan University. Once qualified, I worked for over a decade with the NHS, specialising in children’s speech and language therapy. The rewards of working with families and helping children to communicate inspired me to move into independent practice.

To complement existing NHS services, I began offering speech and language multi-sensory play sessions for families in my local community. It was an absolute joy and privilege to witness meaningful moments of connection and communication as families discovered new ways to understand and engage with their children.

In response to increased demand from families for specialist social communication support, I decided to return to my studies and, in early 2024, completed the Level 2 Qualification in Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT). To support this, I am developing my understanding of Gestalt Language Processing. Additionally, I am a certified facilitator of the Brick-by-Brick® programme.
